Daniel is a Singapore-qualified Advocate & Solicitor whose broad-based practice encompasses a wide range of corporate, commercial and regulatory matters. He graduated from the National University of Singapore in 2009 and was admitted to the Singapore Bar in 2010. Prior to that, he obtained a Diploma in Law & Management with Merit from Temasek Polytechnic, where he was awarded the Singapore Academy of Law Course Gold Medal as top student of his cohort, along with multiple subject prizes.

Daniel’s practice covers corporate transactions and commercial arrangements, with a focus on corporate finance, investment structuring and corporate governance. He is involved in capital raising exercises, shareholder arrangements and corporate reorganisations, and has experience in the drafting of related transaction documentation.

His regulatory and compliance experience encompasses a range of industries, including matters involving financial services regulation, anti-money laundering frameworks and data protection. His practice involves Monetary Authority of Singapore regulatory considerations and evolving compliance requirements, including those relevant to technology-driven business models.

In addition, Daniel’s work spans a wide spectrum of commercial agreements and operational matters, including employment, services, licensing and cross-border arrangements. He also has experience with equity incentive arrangements, including employee share option plans and virtual share schemes. His work often involves emerging areas such as digital assets and fintech-related arrangements.

Prior to joining Aurora Law LLC, Daniel has held positions in both private practice and in-house legal functions, including assisting Sport Singapore, where he advised on procurement, infrastructure projects, intellectual property and regulatory matters. He has handled corporate finance matters, corporate actions, listing compliance and a voluntary general offer at a corporate boutique, as well as gained broad exposure to commercial litigation, ICC arbitration and corporate transactional work at a full-service firm. Drawing on his earlier experience in litigation and arbitration, Daniel has supported dispute-related matters in his current role, including the preparation of submissions, evidentiary materials and legal analysis.

Daniel is committed to community service, having volunteered at the Community Legal Clinic and with various charitable organisations.
